Movie Madness Showdown: The Home Stretch Special Edition Podcast

It’s finally here: the Movie Madness Showdown Home Stretch Special Edition Podcast.

Going into this round, matches were getting tighter, with some movies barely making it through. Each movie here is the top of its class, some of the best ever…but which one will triumph over all the others, come out on top and earn a place in the distinguished Crispy Noodle Hall of Awesome. There, it will forever be enshrined as one of our favorite movies of all time and one of the best films ever made. Going forth, this movie will also be retired from all future movie competitions here on The Crispy Noodle in order to allow other movies to rightfully enter The Crispy Noodle Hall of Awesome.

To recap, the Elite 8 movies are:

  • Matchup #1
    • The Godfather (1972)
    • The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
  • Matchup #2
    • Inception (2010)
    • Pulp Fiction (1994)
  • Matchup #3
    • Saving Private Ryan (1998)
    • Back to the Future (1985)
  • Matchup #4
    • Star Wars IV: A New Hope (1977)
    • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

In this special edition podcast, we reveal the winners of the Elite 8 AND the Final 4. We have some debates, some heartache, and some laughs as we go over the results and make our final judgement. Then, we finally crown the champion of our Movie Madness Showdown. Which movie will it be? The front-runner is a dark and brooding mafia drama, but could it be upset by a poignant tale of hope and redemption? Perhaps a mind-bending whirl through dreams and the sub-conscious will edge out an edgy, and one might say “pulpy,” movie. Could the shocking look at World War 2 fall to a fun, sci-fi trip through time? However, we can tell you this: the movie that wins matchup #4 is about a fantastic journey and a struggle against evil forces…oh wait, is that in a galaxy far, far away or in Middle Earth? Oh well, you’ll find out soon enough. So stop reading, start listening, and find out!

Here’s our updated (and final) bracket! P.S. don’t look if you want to be surprised in the podcast.
